That's a terrible estimate anon. What did you base that on?
In 2017, Anthrocon had 7,500 attendees, and Midwest Furwest had 7,000, now obviously some people might go to both, but if we put that aside and assume most of the people going to both are unique visitors, we're already at 14,500 people we can safely assume are Furries. So either 70% - 90% of all Furries globally attended these conventions, and 90% of all Furries are in the United States. Or... yknow maybe this is a lot bigger than what you think, and why wouldn't it be? Furry is a broad brush and a big tent.
Depending on how we define what we consider "A Furry" here, it could be anywhere between tens of thousands (if we're only talking "true furries" - convention going, fursuit wearing, has a lot of social interaction with other furries) to millions (people who don't call themselves furry, engage with the community, people who just draw anthro art, people who enjoy anthro art, people who get off to furry porn).
>Including bronies
1. Not all Bronies are Furries, but alright
2. Bronycon alone saw around 6,000 people in attendence this past year, and that's the people who cared enough to travel, or were able to travel to that convention. That's ignoring other brony conventions as well.
