It makes sense for them to claim that. Would you willing to claim that part of your price is the Status that comes from? That being said, the value of the popularity of an artist will is not 100% definitive to the pricing but someone popular can get away with charging more thanks to Supply and Demand. There are some, relatively unknown artist that do charge a lot, Like Blitzdrachin or Agytipe and I think they are fairly good.

PS: Although, I do think that Blitz charges too much tho.

Part of the pricing is the Status, the Brand. The Buyer will brag about who he got a commission from Popufur X even at prices that ridiculously high. Of Course Popufur X won’t admit that part of his Price is his Brand and not entirely based on his skill.
