What is /fur/ doing for Pride?
What Pride marches or events are guys planning to partake in, or how else are you going to celebrate Pride? Be sure to share pictures of any events and interesting Pride related things you do IRL.
My city’s Pride doesn’t start for another month, but I know most of you guys will be going soon, or will already have went. So I’m making this sooner rather than later. I’m honestly surprised that someone didn’t make this sooner, given how disproportionate the amount of fags on this board is.

I think it's nothing to be proud of so I will do nothing. I do not think being gay should be 'celebrated' anymore than liking vanilla ice cream.
(This isn't meant to be an edgy contrarian post; I am just trying to express than many of us homosexuals are not comfortable with pride and never will be. We prefer to live quiet, private lives.)

Pride is degenerate nonsense filled with normalfags, but lately I've been feeling so lonely and horny that I'm actually considering checking it out. Do cuteboys/twinks actually go to pride or am I just gonna be surrounded by 50 year old gross creeps/dragqueens?

In case anyone genuinely agrees with that garbage, the point of Pride isn’t about “something you can’t choose.” You don’t choose to be gay. But you can choose to live your life and be yourself, despite all the people around you and the systems in place that work against you and coerce you to abandon that part of your identity and conform to everyone else. Pride was founded on the Stonewall Riots, to commemorate the time the queer community stood up and fought back. They decided they weren’t going to keep taking that bullshit for something that they couldn’t choose---for something that’s a part of them. That’s sure as hell something to be proud.

Wrong. Your adult sexuality is a choice, and if you don't choose to be bisexual, that is your choice.

I'm a raging faggot but I would never associate myself with the Rainbow Horde of Degeneracy. Not worth the time, my social standing, and what little dignity I have left. I used to think it was my duty to come out. To proclaim "I'm here, I'm queer, and you've got to deal with it!" but upon seeing what those people do, and how they're seen I just can't see it as being a good or sane idea. Why? So that I have yet another month I get pestered for shit I apparently have no control over by people either being overly proud of a minor detail or of those trying to be good "allies" and "support the cause" by proxy of being associated with me? So that I can cover every item of clothing and every profile image I use on social media with gaudy rainbows? So I can have the wonderful experience of wondering this guy my friends totally think I should date will end up being a lispy faggot, a """trap""" or a tranny that couldn't quite make it? No there's no benefit for coming out or showing pride because all it does is draw you closer to the abyss.
Basically I've poked my head out of the closet and, upon seeing what's there, have bolted it shut from the inside.

OP here. The only reason I’m going to Pride is because I have literally nothing better to do. Why not go out and do something different rather than just sit in the house and do nothing, like every other day?
I agree that Pride is extremely degenerate, and I can assure you that I’ll be dressing in my everyday clothing and walking down the street like an actual human being, and not some sex crazed animal. I honestly don’t plan to do anything beyond walking around the festival and maybe treating myself to a nice meal in a restaurant (*cough* fast food place) afterwards.
My suggestion to you guys would be to just go there and see what it’s like. Don’t be a degenerate, just treat it like any other festival or event you’d go to, wear something nice and have some wholesome non-degenerate fun.
Don’t read too much into it like an absolute fucking /pol/ tier sperg, just don’t be a degenerate and have fun. There is a middle ground between being a /pol/ack and a lispy cum dumpster.

Bullshit.
I don't choose what gets my dick hard. It just does.
The point is that I feel no shame nor regret. I don't feel ashamed just because I've got weird fetishes or whatever. Everyone does, and those who would dare criticize do so just because they're insecure about their own sexuality.
But I also don't feel the need to attend a rally to be "proud" of it.
Needing to gather around to affirm that loudly to the world comes off just as insecure.
Why do you need that reassurance? Just do it, faggot. Nobody gives a shit.

I love Pride Month because it lets us flaunt our sexuality in ways that would have gotten us stoned to death 2000 years ago, imprisoned 200 years ago, castrated 130 years ago, and beat up 50 years ago. Gay people have existed as long as humans have existed, and for the first time ever we're free. Pride Month is a celebration of our emancipation and a way of showing off that we finally have more power than the homophobes do.

That's the problem! I despise people that flaunt their sexuality, gay or straight. Sex is something that should be private, period. It has no place in public, on the streets. We're not animals and shouldn't act like them.

>Sex is something that should be private, period. It has no place in public, on the streets.
There I strongly disagree with you. Western society must get over these absurdly puritan perceptions of sexuality and nudity as out-of-place if they're done in public. Being nude in public or urinating in public can get you put on sex offenders registries or even imprisoned - it's ridiculous. People (usually right-wing people) are offended by the nakedness of their own bodies and at other peoples' natural sexual functions.
>We're not animals and shouldn't act like them.
I strongly disagree with this on two levels. Animals, especially wild ones, are far better behaved than most humans are. They don't eat more than they should, they don't burn fossil fuels, they don't vandalize, they don't commit terrorism, you get the idea. Having a religion that promotes behaving like animals would be an improvement to anything we currently have. An animal looks at any other naked mating animals and doesn't get offended or angry. The idea that nudity and sex = private is a hole we dug ourselves into long ago, and people are finally waking up and refusing to play along. The naked human body is not a crime.
>>108322
Even if so it's not evil from every angle. Having rainbow flags and lgbt imagery seen in everyday, non-activism contexts helps normalize it. The only time you used to see rainbow flags on TV was if there was an LGBT activism protest going on, or some state had just legalized same sex marriage. If BigCorp Inc. wants to plaster their fliers in rainbow flags, go ahead. It's a positive context.

That "verbose" acronym is five letters. Five. LGBTQ. That's it. Yes, there are versions with more... which aren't in common usage.
> Everybody has to have their own "pride," but not those pesky, normal, biologically obedient heterosexuals !!
That's the thing: Pride is NOT about, "hooray, I'm gay, it's awesome." Nowhere in the USA will you get your house or car vandalized because you're straight. You won't get rude shit shouted at you. You're at no risk of being fired from your job, losing your social circle, or being kicked oit of your church. You won't get beaten up if someone realizes you're straight. You definitely won't end up a statistic and a headline, "Local straight man found dead in ditch." But these are all risks if you're found to not be straight, depending on where you live-- and you needn't admit it, sometimes people just find out. They might even be risks if there's just a rumor you might not be straight.
Heterosexuals, thus, don't need Pride. However, so-called "straight allies" are people who are supportive in some way. That's where straight people fit-- they don't have to campaign, or volunteer, or fly a flag, or anything, and LGBTQ people don't really have animosity towards straight people because they're straight.

The problem with the first image is there are children. This is an adult affair, even if it is considered non-sexual by some. This is why events such as Folesom are (or if not, should be) 18+. Pride Parades do not seem to have this requirement, leading to children not only witnessing but participating. I would not be supprised if a (((school))) told these children to go to the Pride Parade, or told them to go. I recall in my own HS that on Martin Luther King Day, school closed but everyone was expected to come in else take the day off with parent permission. The day was then filled with racial retardation lessons, transthings telling you to check your privledge, total SJWism. The start of the day was the National Anthem sang in Cherokee by a student who wasn't an Indian. The "Queer-Straight Alliance" (a student club) then read a poem by a transgender retard who killed "her"self after being "bullied" for being a faggot. Long story short, they made us make signs, then carry them in a pseudo parade with police escort for 5 street blocks until we reached a church where an ex-black panther gave us a speech about how bad things used to be.
Those kids probably don't belong there. The offense should not be taken at the pupplayers (a fun community) but at the (((Public School))) that tricked them to be there.

>Nowhere in the USA will you get your house or car vandalized because you're straight. You won't get rude shit shouted at you. You're at no risk of being fired from your job, losing your social circle, or being kicked oit of your church. You won't get beaten up if someone realizes you're straight. You definitely won't end up a statistic and a headline, "Local straight man found dead in ditch."
Except that all is a lie, since LGBTQ today are discriminating against "cis scum" people because their victim points matter more. Do you know what a Tumblr is? Also, of course nobody headlines "local straight man" anything because heterosexuality is the norm. Homosexuality is abnormal by everyone's subconscious admission because they have to stick "homosexual" behind every possibly-related attempt to propagandize this supposed mass-epidemic of homosexual persecution that literally happen nowhere except the Middle-East and nobody talks about it because doing so gets you slammed as "islamaphobic" or something else conjured up on Tumblr.
>Heterosexuals, thus, don't need Pride.
Except we do, because your obvious semantic-mental-gymnastics was an attempt to warp the actual definition of "pride:" which is rooted in a deep satisfaction of an accomplishment. Being gay is not an accomplishment. Being proud of gay getting the right to be gay in the West was an accomplishment decades ago and no one cares anymore. Why do you still need to keep drawing attention to yourselves? You won. Stop.
>However, so-called "straight allies" are people who are supportive in some way. That's where straight people fit-- they don't have to campaign, or volunteer, or fly a flag, or anything, and LGBTQ people don't really have animosity towards straight people because they're straight.
You pinpointed you people as arbiters of justice? Where do you get off on telling straight people where they belong or what they should do?
Additionally, yes there are LGBTQ people that hate straight people. Again, sto pretending like you have never heard the phrase "die, cis scum." You are not the angels you are trying to portray yourselves as and a lot of us see through your authoritarian attempts to club us into aligning ourselves with your played-out cause for undeserved attention. You choosing to defy natural instincts toward reproduction does not put you above the rest of us in anyway and nor is it a reason for you to constantly keep shoving this crap into our faces for a whole friggin' month, let alone pester our kids about it. If you want to be gay, be gay. People have the right to dislike you for being gay just like you all can dislike us for being straight. Being openly discriminated against is something I disagree with, but nobody has to support you, either. We are all eating a crap sandwich and you all being every synonym under the sun for the simple word "gay" does not make you immune to consequences.
Idk what is worse, black people or gays in terms of non-stop attention-whoring.
