I've overall really enjoyed beastars with some minor grips with moments I felt could've been executed better. Mainly the rescue mission from the lions bit, I felt like some of the fighting and infiltration could have been handled better but more than that Louis's decision when he wakes up at the dinner table I felt came too suddenly after just wanting to commit suicide by allowing himself to be eaten, and wanting to commit suicide rather than being used by the lions. Like the decision is understandable and I realize he's probably in a different emotional state, but it still feels too much like a flip flop in the moment.
I'm sad the anime is 3d shit, god damn it netflix, but I'm still excited.

The story makes reference to a tragic ending with the play's story and Legosi saying he likes tragedies but I also don't get the sense that there's an ending set in stone in the author's mind.

I agree that the art is bad, though it got better, but it's something I honestly found charming about the comic.
