I want a grip that can kill, crack bone, burst vessels, crush necks. Arms as big as my legs, forearms as thick as the upper arm. Like a tree or mountain.
Apparently the poundage for grippers is usually way off. There's a place that measures the poundage required at the best leverage point, and the CoC #1.5 is 85 lbs. You get a certificate as a GRIP MONSTER if you crush the 150 lb #3, 180 lb #3.5, or the 215 lb #4. The heaviest closed gripper is 235 lb I'm pretty sure. 110 lbs is considered necessary if people's lives rely on your grip strength, according to Iron Mind (#2 CoC).
Grip strength is like bite strength, neck strength, etc. If you have a strong bite, and bite to shit when lifting, you lift more. If you have a strong neck, and pop an artery out of your neck (that looks like someone wrapped a tire around), you'll lift more. If you have a vice-like grip, so much so the metal starts to squeal in pain, you'll lift more.
People treat the spine as the CNS, but the whole nervous system contributes to total nerve strength. I hear people function just fine without half of their brain as well.. but am I going to trust and rely on that bit of info? Fuck no.
Aiming for stupidly dwarf/giant proportions is my goal.
