I have dander. What do?

>in b4 shampoo faggots

I don't shower and neither should you. I'd like to hear if any of you guys have any hair tips or natural remedies.

28be1c  No.135713

If it's not because of excessive showering, then you should check out your diet.

Dander is often caused by liver-related issues.

I just buzz by hair down as short as possible without going as far as using a razor. Then use some light coconut oil and rub it in every morning. My dandruff has been under control for the past few months since doing it.

I don't use shampoo, I shower almost daily but I also use comb. I have no dandruff, also have long hair.

Is this feasible with long hair?

No the idea of buzzing it down is so I can put lotion on my scalp and not make my hair look greasy because it's short

Could be seborrheic dermatitis, get checked.

Stop all shampoo, warm water to loosen the sebum every couple days, massage with a gentle conditioner (like baby conditioner) and rinse, use mineral oil (unscented baby oil or scented) if your hair goes nuts and you need some control.

What, why?

Easy for you to say, my hair is greasy as hell and I need to shampoo it every 24 hours to be presentable in public. I've tried going without shampoo and there is never a time where the grease decreases, so that whole "your hair is only greasy because you strip all the oil out with shampoo" is bullshit broscience.

I thought the same till I cut my mop off and dealt with my head feeling awful for a couple weeks. After that I grew it out for a full year without anything but the occasional coal tar shampoo to combat dandruff spikes. I tried before I cut my hair short and I had the same results as you are saying.

t. greasy wop

Before I get in the shower I take my boar bristle brush and use it to really scrub my scalp for a few minutes. It knocks all the flakes loose.

Then in the shower I just scrub with my fingernails and use a little bit of conditioner. Its worked as well as any anti dandruff shampoos I've used and has the benefit of not making my hair dry and frizzy.

typical americunt

954684  No.142560

I've had dandruff my entire life. At its worst it is painful and I'd wake up at night scratching my head. I guess i have chronic seborrheic dermatitis. Only things I've found to be effective at managing the symptoms is cold showers with coal tar shampoo (a generic version of t/gel). I also make sure I always drink 6L of water a day, i think it helps it. I've long since given up on not having dandruff, I'm just happy my scalp no longer itches.

make a paste with sodium bicarbonate and turmeric powder, with an equal amount of water to have a good consistency.

rub it into your scalp and leave it for five minutes, then rinse it thoroughly for five minutes, cool or room temperature water.

do that once a day for a couple of weeks and see if things improve.

sodium bicarbonate is to make an alkaline environment, to prevent fungus from living there.

turmeric speeds up healing.

you can also try the other route and wash your head in 50% apple cider vinegar, 50% water in a similar fashion. that one is slightly acidic instead of alkaline. depends on the fungus as to what works. for me, bicarbonate did.

in both cases, rub it into your scalp well and let it sit for 5 minutes. not longer.

rinse really well with fresh water.

sunlight helps too.

So I was looking up things and tried onions, what I did was blending a quarter of a small onion in a bit of water, scrub off the current layer like in >>136417 then rubbed the juiced onion thoroughly into the scalp. I left it acting for about 10 minutes while I shaved then rinsed it off on the shower with simple soap. Almost no dandruff today, i'll keep at it and report back in a week or so if the thread lives.
