Post what you eat before hitting the gym

>do you do carb loading?

>eating some protein for amino acids?

I usually down a bowl of oats 30 minutes earlier, or make a shake with milk, banana and oats.

Also i think ill start taking oats with me, i often have ATP crashes in the last one or two exercises, its gotten worse during my cut. I would eat it after about an hour of working out and then go on as usual, anyone ever tried this?

I lift fasted. If i have food in my stomach at all, I dtart feeling like shit pretty quick. If I keep pushing I get bad acid reflux. I feel much better and can lift heavier on an empty stomach. I know this is the opposite of most people, but you asked.

interesting, do you eat a lot of carbs regularly? I can imagine that if you eat maintenance or at a surplus eating before lifting isn't necessary because your glycogen is always topped out anyway.

Are you taking creatine? If not you should. Its not necessary to take right before you work out either its just something that you take a little bit of every day and it saturates your muscles.

You're not supposed to crush a huge meal and head directly to the gym a pre workout meal should be ~2-3 hours before. If you do eat right before your workout it should be something like a banana and a glass of milk.

Yes, I did, but I've started IF and haven't noticed much of a difference.

I need more time than that. Maybe my digestion is slow. I need five or six hours so that I have an utterly empty stomach. I used to make it a point to have a light lunch on workout days then lift before dinner. Now that I do IF I only eat dinner. I have a fairly sedentary job and life outside the gym, so it's not like I plow through my glycogen super fast when I'm not lifting.

but now I've changed to eating something pretty light within an hour before workout, and I mean light, fast absorption carbs, and plenty of water

this way you get to be loaded but not weighted down by food, blood flows to your stomach for digestion, so keep it at a minimum

one great recipe I'm using lately is mixing in pea and corn grains, they usually come cheap as fuck in those cans

they both mixed have a generous amount of carbs+protons, good on taste and easily digestible

I used to, stopped it because i've read about the DHT increase and hairloss risk. When i dropped it i didn't notice a decrease in strength, but now that you mention it my rep counts in later accessory lifts did go down.

Thats because the effects of creatine take like 3-4 weeks to go away.

DHT is anabolic thats a good thing

Listen man if you're genetically predisposed to baldness its gonna happen no matter what you do and if you're not then slightly increased DHT won't magically kill your hair.
