I decided to come to /fit/ due to a friend recommending me post here for help getting muscle built up. I'm trying to impress a college female. I don't have like any fat and can't really gain weight so I should be able to easily gain muscle with work right? Thanks for all the help.

You may think that you can't gain weight and that you eat enough, but you generally don't; If you did then you'd gain weight. Make a free account at www. myfitnesspal.com and religiously track how much you eat for two weeks, I bet you'll find that you don't eat as much as you should, or really think that you do just as I myself found out. If you want to gain weight fast then you should just do GOMAD.

Add 1 lb every week. Every week you might cycle within a 2 - 6 lb range. To accommodate for this fact, every Sunday should be a fasting day where you eat and drink nothing and soak in some Sun (sweat is water loss? Don't die.)

Every day do AMRAP in two different workout routines. 1 set of AMRAP in a quick pace, then a 10 second break, then 1 set of AMRAP at a moderate pace, then a 10 second break, then AMRAP with an explosive as-quick-as-possible rep, with 3-5 seconds of rest between each rep. After that do a static hold for as-long-as-possible.

It should be a cleansing time, to recreate your vessel ritualistically pure. Think of it as building a holy temple. Positive thing to do, for mind and soul.

Never do less reps. If you do less reps than last time, in any set, then you've failed in some way. The less failure, the better your technique, focus and recovery has been. If you aren't stretching, aren't eating, aren't sleeping, then you're going to have a hard time consistently improving. You can still make progress, and you have to roll with the punches, but you also need to gain some damn weight and not be a stiff imbalanced fuck. You also need your energy and to appreciate what sleep does for you. Just stick to it and don't give up.
