This thread really on /pol/ made me think.

Mainly, what is the deal with this Diatomacious Earth thing? I had never heard of it and I am very skeptical, but it is intriguing.

>tldr:

>our guts might be filled with parasites

>a few guys claim purifying it with Diatomacious Earth made them shit them out, lose weight, restore energy levels, promote hair and nail growth.

Sounds too good to be true tbh, but who knows.

Also, discuss probiotics.

What probiotic foods or supplements do you use? What effects do you experience?

I personally have been having soft messy shits for a little while now, the one's that basically make you need to take a shower because otherwise it takes way too long to wipe, and I'm not even a fat ass.

What could it be? What can I do? I'd prefer adjusting my diet over taking supplements.

>soft messy shits

most likely not enough fiber in your diet. try eating more veggies, dark chocolate and berries and nuts are all high fiber.

for optimal gut health

1. eat some kimchi with every meal. most health food shops carry it but its easy to make. Only thing bout making it, you need to wait a few months to let it ferment.

2. drink goat milk kefir. You want goat kefir over cows because goat is better absorbed by humans, much better for our skin. Easy to make. Get the grains yourself and find some good quality goats milk, organic if your budget allows.

3. Drink bone broth. Homemade is best. I do about 1kg of bones (chicken, beef or lamb usually) with 3 litres water in an instant pot at high pressure (saves a shit load of time). Add in few tablespoons apple cider vinegar (helps break bones down). Also nice to throw in an onion or two and a lots of garlic cloves.

I shoved 25cm of wood up my ass and a genie popped out and blessed me with Zyzz's body. Prove me wrong.

Contra >>119629 it sounds like too much insoluble fiber. Well, at least too much as a percentage of your total caloric intake. More insoluble fiber means the food zooms through your body and takes on lots of water weight, making it soft and mushy. Soluble fiber seems to do the opposite, slowing down the food as it travels through the intestine. Increase your ratio of soluble to insoluble fiber until your poop takes on a more solid form.

Are you an alcololic?

 No.119638

Soft serve ice-cream reporting in.

I eat a plate of celery, carrots, broccoli, with a small portion of sharp cheddar cheese every day.

And a bowl of wheat and barley "nutty nuggets" cereal with banana and cinnamon.

Ever since I started doing this it's been smooth sailing, but not messy have to take a shower smooth like you're talking about.

Before that, while I did have a good portion of veggies every day I was just loading up on too much protein vs fiber intake.

Though that was a problem in the opposite direction.

I'm doing some research on Diatomaceous Earth myself, because I want to know if its legit. Holocausting the gastrointestinal jew with skeletons sounds wicked.

So far, food grade (amorphous silicon dioxide) DE doesn't seem particularly harmful to humans in controlled dose(overdose may cause minor constipation, or even kidney stones after too long). However, the pool grade type (crystalline silicon dioxide), will cause lung cancer if breathed in over long periods of time.

It seems it rips ALL bacteria and parasites in your gut to shreds, causing minor flu like symptoms in the fist few days of using it, however if you regularly have probiotics like kefir, it shouldn't be hard to replace the good ones. It should be noted that parasite eggs in your gut may not be affected by it. At the very least, having the extra silicon may help reduce risk of arthritis, and promotes growth of collagen.

Here are a few links I think might be trustworthy (haven't yet found a real article about human consumption of DE, its mostly about livestock or its use as a pesticide.)

Whenever these "wonder supplements" pop up, since they usually end up being snake oil, or they do some of what they say but the results could also be attained though a change of diet.. but if I find more evidence that using this could get rid of parasites I don't know I have, maybe its worth taking.

Was my thought. I have the best fucking morning shits after drinking the night before, but they're always a strange slimy/soft texture.

Anyways, I just bought a 10lb bag of food-grade fossilized algae diatomacious earth for $20. Gonna start with a teaspoon per day, and increase by an additional teaspoon per day until I'm taking 1/4th of a cup of that abrasive powder. We'll know in a month if it works or not. I'm extremely skeptical.

 No.120147

>>119633

no, I think it's more to do with eating a big salad every lunch at my new place of work, increased my insoluble fiber intake too much maybe. I'll see if cutting down on that helps.

It probably won't kill you but it also probably won't do anything

DE is actually just ground up smol silicon bois

if you actually think you have a parasite, please go to the doctor

 No.128421

the parasite thing is probably untrue i would imagine a much bigger problem is genotoxins, mycotoxins etc which is much worse and probably wreaking havoc on western immune systems and neurology (autism epidemic). Your shit is reflection of overall diet, whatever constitutes your food intake is structured wrong. I hope you're not eating fast food, grilled foods, fried foods at all.

Is it because of the Jew parasites in my intestine?

 No.133275

Putting aside the parasite jokes if you have constipation then jogging for 20-30 minutes on soft soil every day is pretty much the treatment, doing it on cement is bad for your knees.

 No.133277

Praziquantel is cheap, safe and gets rid of most every species of parasitic worm. Do not sand blast your innards with DE to get rid of them. You'll probably damage your stomach and intestines since DE is highly abrasive.

>guy has soft shits

>durrr eat more fiber

The exact opposite, you moron.

 No.133294

Just fast for 3 days and eat onion/garlic while you are. It'll take care of any parasites.

 No.133297

>>133286

What? Soft-shitters are usually people who eat nothing but fast food and not enough vegetables. Then when they eat fiber again the shits become solid.

 No.133298

>>133297

I'd say eat anything that doesn't burn your guts through and through, nothing that makes your guts/head heavy, avoid sugar, and eat stuff that makes your guts cold, light and hard/contract. Raw vegetables usually do this.

 No.133314

>>133297

I was the opposite. Terrible diet gave me hard, ass-ripping shits. Cleaned up my diet and regularly ate fiber and my shits started to soften out. I think it depends on whether the fiber you eat is soluble or insoluble.
