This month Film Club features a batch of films from around the world dealing with the seasonal topics of harvest and/or autumn.
The most popular choice is up first, winner of both the Palme d'or and César Award for Best Foreign Film in 1978.
> Italian filmmaker Ermanno Olmi's Tree of the Wooden Clogs covers a period of twelve months, dividing its time between three peasant families, all of whom work on the estate of an all-but-absentee landlord. Special emphasis is given the interrelationships between the various family members and their neighbors. – Hal Erickson, Rovihttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077138http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tree_of_Wooden_Clogshttp://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/tree_of_wooden_clogs/Note that the running time is right around 3 hours, so plan accordingly.

how about streaming a couple times over the weekend? maybe evening in europe is early afternoon in america. not sure what to do about aussies.
if we figure out the best time or times we could make the film club stream a weekly scheduled thing.
