▶ No.1735>>1739 >>1740 >>1741 >>1742
Yeah, I'm hoping to become a sound engineer on films. I've done a few short, indie films, and now I'm starting an internship for a video production company.

I'm busy trying to get into film school. Made a few shorts and docs but nothing major yet. Looks like I'm on track so far though.
▶ No.1738

>>1717 (OP)I'd wish to get into film school, but I have no intention in acting/directing shitty soap operas (which is the only option at first besides unemployement), so I'm considering 3D animation.

>>1717 (OP)I want to go to an acting school and am currently deciding which ones to apply for and how to go about it exactly, reading plays, looking for courses and classes etc.

I'm pretty deep in the radio/television program at my community college, which isn't saying much. At the moment I am enrolled in a screenwriting class though, so I guess there's that. I'm aiming to do pretty much anything creative, just pls no real job.
▶ No.1902
I'm aspiring but most of my friends have no patience to be in my movies. Shit sucks yo.
▶ No.1912>>1925
Aspiring filmmaker. I've shot a short doc and a couple short videos, currently editing a feature doc. Hope to become either a director, cinematographer or editor

>>1844Yeah it is, it's not a great way to start my portfolio.
>>1823I only did the post mix, it was a job I contracted online, they had already shot and done some ADR, both of which were really poor in quality, the signal to noise ratio on the raw audio was something around 5:4 and when you have broadband noise like traffic and wind it's very hard to isolate the sound you want, getting rid of the noise made the dialog sound thin and unnatural so I had to settle for a balance between noise reduction and a natural sound.
In a professional production, there will usually be a more skilled recording engineer, along with ADR that allows the post engineer to checkerboard the dialog (isolating the dialog from the production sound) so you can add atmospheric sounds at your discretion.
>>1912Anywhere I could see them?

I'm not in the industry early in life i did think about it though

>>1717 (OP)I've applied to
The American academy of dramatic art I plan on going into film acting afterwards (if accepted).
I originally planned on attending humboldt but the academy contacted me so I decided why not.
Question is if I'll get enough of a scholorship to be able to afford it.
