Not OP, but I totally get it. You're wrong, it's not an Oedipus complex. It's just about the role reversal, at least for me. Women have the comfier role in relationships, not to mention society in general. Who wouldn't want to be the one who is pursued rather than pursuing? Maybe it's because I have low self esteem and want to actually feel wanted, rather than just like I finally convinced someone to settle for me. But either way, it sure seems a lot more pleasurable to not have to risk rejection, but rather to have someone risk rejection for you by asking if you could possibly like them. Or who, especially on this board, wouldn't want to have someone so into you that they have to have you, and do whatever they can to get you? Who wouldn't want to be the one to be protected rather than the one doing the protecting? I mean that one seems self explanatory. It's just plain safer and easier. Plus it's a very significant showing of affection.
There's a board for shit like this, /gfd/, but it's practically dead and filled with halfchan cucks who just immigrated here after halfchan cracked down on them recently.
