Uncle Ted is a unique one. Probably the only guy to go postal but still be considered a respected intellectual. the bombings were not that effective (to my knowledge, admittedly im not an expert) and his writing probably would have been overlooked without the bombings. so he's unique in the sense that he is more famous for being an intelligent man, who took action, which then brought attention to his writings. so he was a type of success i think.
