I have gotten the impression that Doomer and Boomer dichotomy is not cut and dried, and also that it is more of a Yin Yang relationship. Many if not most "Doomers" are "Bloomers" inside or in many respects. The only Bloomers who are unjaded are young or insulated from reality in other ways, and most people who "seem like" Doomers are simply "doomed", and there is a difference.

I wouldn't describe myself as a "Doomer" but fit many of the stereotypical attributes. Yet my best bud is a "Bloomer" if ever there was one, though I can see in him all the fault lines and subduction zones that, based on his past and on the world at present and in future, I can see his "Doomer side" will blossom in time. I already see many of their sprouts. He's about 18 years my younger as well, and yet he is quite different from superficially giddy young idiots. So in fact, as with Doomers, many so-called Bloomers are merely such in appearance only, and are simply naive doofus boneheaded young people.

Don't know what I count as but I got my snakes and job so I'm rather content.

So long as I got my animals I'm fine mostly. I work with only one other guy and he's a hard worker too. We get paid way too much to do third shift silliness. I can survive on very, very little and mostly am just trying to save what I can.
