you have to consider a problem over the next few generations. it's not about a span of 40 years, but lets say 2000.

even if you get your followers to an island, you still have a problem where these folks will randomly fork random alphas, which will pollute our ascended society.

the trade is interesting point, but i don't agree that we would necessarily need to trade. i would rather prefer not to trade with jew nations. if we would be blessed by jesus, we could consider that he would give us gifts to help us to go completely decentralized from any sort of gov. control, this would include energy device, healing devices(guides, except ER), perhaps even how to lead a nation in the least amount of centralization possible, how to raise kids, all kids of stuff which would guide us through problems we currently face or would face in the future.
