if you weren't aware, sometimes people (on other sites/boards) will do this shit where they don't want to see a certain kind of thread, but if they bitch about it, people slot them into "the kind of retard who complains about Topic X"

so they pull this incredibly passive-aggressive maneuver where they try to derail it by posting replybait shit- not that you were doing that, obv.

Your example is just part of the bigger problem, the internet is not just a giant library with all of the right knowledge, even sites like Wikipedia are of course biased, but even if it had the right info all the time verified by every historian and scientist it still allows for discussions and outcasts to express their alternative views, obviously echo-chambers.

The furry community and other deviants, not just sexual ones, grew up massively after online communication was allowed, it might be that now we are aware of how many of them there are thanks to a more open field (even if it wasn't open they can just build up their own community anywhere that doesn't outright ban them)

So my effort post take is that the internet is first and foremost a tool for communication, it still hasn't achieved its purpose of being the library of ultimate knowledge.
