I dunno. Fucking off with the capital seems like something that people with fleets might object to. It's not clear how fast a dyson sphere hooked up to a stellar engine could move, but it's sub-light speed and your FTL inhibitor is range-limited to an extent that is also not very clear.

Basically:
dlc of jobs from the stardust cyoa (green one) would happen first, then you would wake up in the derelict space station as your first real mission thing that happens by accident, and to get out and get your money and rewards someone gifted you, you need to escape or resolve the situation or something and then it goes into the rest of the cyoa.
there is no expiration date on your money or rewards or anything, you realize that you don't rememeber how you got there but remember everything else and realize that the station is part of the thing you're experiencing and the people giving you the money reward are the same ones who put you in the station. you just wake up and read the information data they leave behind for you and realize that you're basically in an engineered maze game now of sorts, and getting out means you win and then get to go on to complete the events that take place in the rest of the startdust CYOA and other related ones.

stardust CYOA needs to have bigger text because it gives me a huge headache. alot of the images are very nice but are reduced down to tiny pictures that don't do their beauty justice. I wouldn't mind the cyoa being triple or octoople bazoople the amount of pages it is now if the text was bigger with better images that aren't shrunk down. (there's even a version that's larger, I don't know why the nice and easy to read clear style was downgraded…) it's better to post 20+ images of a great cyoa then 5 severely reduced quality images. turns down the enjoyment factor alot.
I know that combining these into one TURBO cyoa would benefit the cyoa community. maybe they can just be posted together in one thread, or they can be made more modular so that all the different character creations sections fit together, or are just introduced in different stages depending on how far you are. I notice wonderful potential here. to make it easy, there doesn't need to be that big of an emphasis on point systems. that will drive most people crazy to even think of balancing. maybe it's better to just let everyone's imaginations run wild so everyone can just choose whatever setup and story they want

My problem with Space Opera Sci-Fi is that technological development is exponential… and the rate of exponential increase accelerates with the mastery of intelligence. This is what is known as the Singularity. So… harnessing and converting all the matter and energy in a Solar System in order to maximize control over reality would only be a matter of course… Also if such a power currently exists 'they' would literally be Gods to us, and none could stand against such a power but a 'civilization' at a similar level of existence… or perhaps a higher one that has somehow transcended the material universe, and yet decides to 'protect' us for whatever non-material reason.
Basically for fun Sci-Fi universes that are enjoyable based on our current level of intelligence and experience, we have to say… 'they' can somehow travel the huge distances between stars quickly, but they don't have computers/robots that can build computers/robots.

I completely lack offensive capability for the first half and Earth year of my reign. A little loyalty from my vassals with Lady Violante's help, and well placed covert ops along with virtually invincible defenses, and great economic incentive to be friendly with me should keep me safe for this time. After I build the first wave of my galatic navy, it will be hard for anyone to contest my power save for the whole galaxy uniting against me and meeting in one system… something I will use all my ability to prevent. I present to you the curious case of the Mad Baroness Ninecie.
~~Hailing from nobility, she came from a solar system similar to Earth's. Originally evicted from the system by her family, she was the only surviving member of the sudden stellar engine failure.
When provided with claims, she picked out a system that provided the bare minimums for an impossibly low cost. She then immediately took the rest of her claims, a veritable fortune's worth of funds, and purchased a dozen of Sarras's Industries' newest model of drones.~~
It is at this point that several things require mentioning. Ninecie is not and never has been threatened. She does not require anything even closely resembling a bodyguard or assault force. Why she purchased these drones was a baffling mystery to everyone who spectated the rash decision. It was suspected that this had to have been a case of sudden insanity, but the truth was much worse.
She's crazy and fucks her bird robots. Trying to lore this shit out is impossible.
As a ruler she's practically incompetent and rushes through any sort of actual responsibility she has toward her people. In a sense, she's given her world pure libertarian rule, and they are able to take care of themselves without her help, for the most part.
Countess Florissa takes advantage of Ninecie's madness by requesting aid in the form of Ninecie's fleet of cruisers, which naturally pairs well with Florissa's unstoppable ground forces. Ninecie agrees without question, not caring about her ships nearly as much as she does getting back into the bedroom with her drone harem.

This star equivalent of manlet exists outside of my star system, but it still belongs to me. It is a powerfull refueling station, or would be if it wasnt in the middle of nothing important. used as a base for deep space exploration and source of fuel for neigbouring systems. also second part of this is the weakest part of this cyoa. not enough options for vassals, everything depends on everything else, game changing bonuses not present on page1 … could be improved
