Switching to iPhone from Android is a meaningless gesture. Even turning your phones and tablets 'off' is usually insufficient if someone actually wanted to know where you were, from what I've read.
Here's a crazy idea. Stop taking a tracking device with you everywhere.
I have a faraday pocket in my bag where my phone lives. I use Pi portables for music, internet, etc …
I'm not paranoid or thinking someone gives a shit about where I am and what I'm doing. It's more of a middle finger to the cloud, honestly.
So, I use my home built portables that I have locked down and air-gapped for most of my daily use.
It's a weird, but fun, feeling. I can still pull my phone out from time to time to check for messages and missed calls, but mostly I just don't. There's a lot of free wifi around, and I can use that to do stuff online without signing into Google or anything.
