Grindr is a cesspit of sluts and random 35 year olds. Its still less fucked up than Craigslist and there are genuinely people who are in a similar situation as yourself (not knowing gay people and wanting relationship) but they're hard to find. Especially good looking ones on there, because the thing is on grindr a lot of people want to date way far up, so nobody is getting in touch with anybody and the old guys just dick anything they can get their hands on. So I guess win for the old guys hahaha.
I tried okcupid over here in my country. I deleted it swiftly as I felt I didn't get any privacy at all once I uploaded pics + there was only 3 good looking guys within 50km that didn't respond to my messages (2 never came online, 1 logged on apparently but probably ignored me).
The gym is not a good thing to do lots of straight guys that can possibly get pretty pissed at you if you're making moves. Shutinnetwork was a website made by some introverts/neets from the chans. It was intended to be a social media site for awkward people, introverts, outcasts, weebs, neets, hikkomoris, channers, etc.
The admins were very sweet and nice, but also apparently a bit mentally unstable. Something happened while I was gone and the site shutdown apparently. I guess that is why it leads to that Youtube link now. Maybe the site will come back someday, but who knows.
What a shame, because the premise behind the site is 10/10. Another one of its downsides was its userbase made for a tense online social setting sometimes. Some people are just instigators.
