I agree the cartoon sucks but beyond that I don't see much potential. Maybe try poking them a bit more and see if you can get them to break (they dream of taking their cartoon mainstream so perhaps try that as an avenue). I'm more familiar with AP than Ghastly but neither really seem like the type to seriously sperg out.
