I believe it's supposed to reference how boys and girls play with LEGO in their own way, with the younger sister being mentioned at the end of the first movie. I still hope the concept of the "alien invasion musical" concept is still present though.

>Didn't LEGO come under fire a few years back for releasing different products specifically for girls that were backed up by millions of dollars worth of research and resulted in an unprecedented spike in sales?
I'm posted about it before here and what you said is all true. They gave girls what (LEGO) they wanted (from fuckloads of research) and they ate it up, and the best of this is the LEGO Friends (and Elves) line isn't supposed to be a girls sectioned theme, it really is there for the purpose of hooking girls on to LEGO so they can eventually move on to regular LEGO sets.
I will say though I still hate the design of the "mini dolls" used in those sets compared to the standard LEGO minifig.
>>995427
It's dumb fucks like this who complain, yet don't even buy the currently available buckets of bricks for any kids they know. Then again a good set of parents would protect their children by keeping them away from women like that.
No.995567

Boys and girls do play differently, though, and they should be encouraged to do it both ways.
Girls follow the instructions and keep it as is with roleplay built around it, like using dolls on the house/car.
Boys build it once, get bored and fuck around with it to make crazy things that have no relation to the original set nor semblance to what they're going for.
The former teaches order and practicality, the latter teaches thought and experimentation.
Everyone needs all of those skills, so both should be encouraged instead of "boys vs girls". If you read one of those """peer-reviewed""" journals on the topics surrounding gender and strip away the usual leftist madness, there are numerous benefits for getting kids to play in the style of the opposite sex or neutral ways. I'm not talking about dressing up as trannies, but stripping it down to basic ideas and incorporating them into what you steer a child towards to balance their learning.

Every media outlet everywhere was quoting "kim kardashian breaks the internet!!" because of her enormous ass photo, and now it will forever be associated with Wreck It Ralph.
>>999711
Also why the fuck does there need to be a sequel in the first place? The first one already broke the 4th wall with how there's just some kid building everything, and the hero saw the real world beyond the veil of his, and how the whole conflict was a kid wanting to have fun with his dad who was too uptight and orderly.
So what, the next conflict is gonna be about the kid's sister wanting to have fun with her big brother but now the big brother doesn't have time to play with legos because he plays sports and has friends now?

>The alien is a Mini-doll from lego friends

>The Apocalypse setting is one of 2 things either the boy is going through and edgy phase OR he just does not play with the legos anymore since they are collecting dust

Wasn't the original plan for the sequel a parody of damsel-in-distress plots (not the suckyass modern fixation on them though) by having Arnett Batman be kidnapped? I mean he does get kidnapped here but the last-minute rewrites are obvious.
At this point I would rather watch that than this.
Also what is with the recent jerking about Fury Road? For something that didn't gross that much at the box office le feministes seem to have claimed it as "their" movie. Not that they would care about the craft of course.

I built stuff (spaceships, castles, etc) then kept it the same for God knows how long. I used to get angry when my parents accidentally broke it. Never liked it when it got broken or I couldn't rebuild it exactly the same as I had. I used to play by just moving it around and imagining stuff in my head. I remember playing with boys and girls when I was a kid, and this is pretty accurate tbh. The main difference I noticed at the time was that boys all understood "yes and" which made things more fun. If I did something that a girl didn't expect she couldn't deal with it and had to "correct" me. Looking at contemporary culture I see boys playing "like girls" a lot (life simulators and such) but not much of the reverse…
