Aside from DD Season 1, none of them are very "superheroy." Jessica Jones is a good show, but not remotely about someone being a superhero, which is what you're promised. Luke Cage is all about him not wanting to be a superhero, and for the short time that show is fun when he's doing superhero things, he's doing it reluctantly. The Punisher was a Jason Bourne movie, and if you ignore the first episode, the only bad guy that he hunts down was Russo at the very end, and Iron Fist was just absolutely shit all around. They're trying to make characters dark and gritty, but they're forgetting to make them fun in any way shape or form.

The CW shows range from good to annoying. I've only seen seasons 1-2 of Supergirl and it was meh at best god awful at worst. Flash is pretty good though it gets repetitive through out the seasons with the repeated use of "bad guy was someone they knew all along." Though the current season nips that in the bud with the Thinker. Arrow varies, Season 1 is meh but the flashbacks on the island are good. Season 2 is good, Season 3 starts with potential but quickly goes to shit. Season 4 is awful and the only good thing about it is the villain. Season 5 is excellent. I haven't seen much of season 6 yet. Legends of Tomorrow is weird, season 1 is shit while season 2 is great. It tries to go for the whole "weird and wacky" angle but it doesn't always quite work and feels surface level at times.

Daredevil S1 and 2 were good, Jessica Jones was watchable but Tennant's performance was the only thing that prevents you from stopping halfway before the rest of the show picks up, Luke Cage was probably the weakest, but at least didn't go the dindu nuffin route, Iron Fist is actually an average show and not as shit as people moan.

S1-2 are great, 3 drops the ball, 4 deflates the ball, 5 reflates the ball then drops it after the halfway point, 6 is just decent.

S1 is the best of the lot, 2 added too much metashit (meta as in Latin, not as in genes) too quickly and got bogged down, S3 was pants on head retarded and everyone was annoyed, S4 is somewhere between S1 and 2 in terms of quality, but every season ending is retarded. They've kept promising a season with no season-long bad guy and the rogues actually doing things, but they kept killing off every good rogue in S1 and 2 then only started keeping them alive when they were down to scrapping the barrel for villains that appeared once or twice in the Silver Age.

You either love it or you don't. It's much more fun and cheesy/campy, but at the same time they're cracking jokes in the middle of action, though it's actually working unlike Avengers where action stops to crack the joke.

Too many heroes on screen at once means they have to create bullshit reasons for powers not working, then near the end of S3 outright had a character say "lmao can't use our powers because it's too easy", just to permanently depower an insanely powerful character they bring on. Also, no one wears their costumes or uses codenames for the most part.

S1 was a disaster. There was actually no saving grace of S1. The fight scenes were worse than the average Tokusatsu episode.

S2 tried harder and actually used their male characters who always stole every scene they were in, but still lots of faults.

S3 is about the same as S2.

Just watch Constantine and then LoT S4, hopefully they actually resolve that show, because it's the only good DC show for a long time.

I consider the DC shows an incredibly accurate adaptation of comic books, with the good and bad that statement implies. Supergirl is the only one absolutely not worth watching, but that wasn't even created by the same people. What will never cease to be ironic is that this show is guaranteed to piss off both sides. Season one was good because of Purple Man. I have no reason to watch now. I find JJ's character very unlikable. She seems to be nothing but character flaws. She is alcoholic, negative, sarcastic, mean, edgy, etc. Flaws are fine but we need something to root for.

Another thing that bothered me was the lesbian lawyer. I'm not against gay characters necessarily, but the way they did it seemed very unrealistic to me. If you don't know already, they took what was originally a male character and literally just turned him into a woman. The male character was supposed to be having an affair with his secretary, so they turned it into a woman having a lesbian affair with her secretary. This was praised because supposedly writers don't write deep complex roles for women, so it's supposedly good to just randomly turn male characters into women and suddenly you have deep complex women. The thing is, it doesn't work, because who's ever heard of a female boss having a lesbian affair with her employee? It strikes me as something that just wouldn't happen. Her secretary just happened to also be a lesbian, or she hired her because she was a lesbian, or seduced her somehow? I dunno. It was weird. Women aren't men, they don't behave the same as men in real life, and you can't just scratch a male name and pronoun out and replace it with a female name and pronoun and have it still make sense.

Season 2 of Punisher gave us a great Punisher origin. That was the best Punisher ever seen on screen for my money. Then they gave the Punisher his own series and decided to revisit his family's death even though it already finished, and throw a conspiracy angle in. Killing corrupt FBI conspirators is more acceptable than mafiosos and gangbangers I guess. But how is he going to have a lifelong obsession with killing criminals if the criminals who killed his family were just pawns of government corruption? It doesn't make sense. The PTSD kid was the only part of the show that actually felt like a Punisher storyline. There's a bad man Frank needs to punish, regardless of Frank's personal feelings towards the man. You have a point, I just couldn't take the kid seriously, because he looked like a fucking kid, like he was likely the same age as me yet had a babyface, like if I got my hair trimmed and did workouts for a few months I'd be a Punisher bad guy, I couldn't take it seriously. And while the main plot was Jason Bourne bullshit, it still felt weird for the narrative to deviate from that bullshit into something else, even if that something else was more appropriate for the character and themes.

I don't think Frank's family tragedy needed to be expanded upon but I bet the writers were pussying out, too scared to show The Punisher actually being The Punisher while he was in the protagonist role. Going out and shooting guys you don't know makes you look like a psycho but as soon as those guys personally hurt you then it's all kosher in Hollywood. So they made it one big revenge story that dragged on and was frankly pretty ridiculous. I did enjoy the brawl on the carousel though. That was the kind of brutal shit I wanted out of the show, and I didn't get any of it except at the beginning and the end. But overall I still liked it more than Jessica Jones and Luke Cage and definitely more than Iron Fist. I hope season 2 is less fucking around about "muh family" and just Frank being the crazy gun-toting asshole he's supposed to be, blasting gangbangers and drug pushers and pimps and robbers and killers, cartels yakuza triads mafiya whoever the fuck. Season 2 is just as bad as you imagined. I'm halfway into it and without Purple Man there is nothing in the show to keep the viewers attention. It keeps dancing around the boring characters from season 1 that no one ever gave a shit, and explores Jessica's past and how she became a detective… you know, the stuff no one cares about. There is even a whole episode of young Jessica living with her ex-boyfriend. A whole fucking episode!
