Who ever it is, they sure as hell aren't autistic enough to earn the title.

It was mostly in British comics, but stories set in the future would inevitably feature somebody going to prison for X number of "light years", because that sounds "space-ey".

Also, numbered planets, especially inhabited numbered planets. We don't fucking call our home "Sun 3" do we? Give them proper (made up) names and say they're characters from mythology on that planet. As a bonus, you can later use that mythology to explain some aspect of that planet's culture / how a character acts. Also, when scientists actually started discovering exoplanets in 1996, they started lettering them instead. And lettering them in order of discovery, not distance from the star. I like to think it was purely to spite these retarded writers.

Also villains that have no motivations, they are just "the baddies". In cartoomercials for toys it was bad enough, but when they started invading British comics it was an insult. The comic that once played host to Charley's War went out with a whimper of a villain cackling "I'll be back with more fiendish plots next week!"

Many planets outside of our solar system (exoplanets) have names that are basically [Name of the Starr they Orbit] [String of Letters and Numbers]. Stars, galaxies, and nebulae have similar numbers+letters names too.

I know that, but a a lot of times these were planets inhabitef by intelligent aliens, surely they'd name thier own planet, and the ones in their system, something more meaningful.
