It's a Elseworlds, or whatever they call them now.

Batman force feeds Joker some pills that will make him better, so then Joker starts a legal battle against Batman and suddenly Batman is locked up and Joker is the good guy.

The story was touted as some analogy to a whole range of social issues, as well as BLM, so I can't say I cared to read more after the first issue.

It's a different continuity, since issues is an else world like >>974521 already said. In the book no one was able to prove that Joker actually killed anyone. Few panels do show hm doing stuff like shooting tommy guns like a maniac, but it is not show what they hit. Joker manages to clean his name, and make Batman and GCPD look bad in the process. Joker cleaning his name is done kind of sloppily, but it might be to show how gullible public is, although I doubt it.

Joker's backstory in The White Knight is him being a failed stand up comedian who turned to villainy. Eventually he took liking to baiting Batman.

>>974521

>The story was touted as some analogy to a whole range of social issues, as well as BLM, so I can't say I cared to read more after the first issue.

They are more of a background and something that Joker uses to win PR war against Batman. However, there is some stupid shit, like Duke Thomas supposedly trying to keep neighborhood clean of crime, but still letting muggers with guns and knives run around for some reason.

It's it? Looks like 17 paragraphs to me.

Whatever else you might say about paragraphs, that they should follow a single main idea or message, we should be able to agree that paragraphs are separated by line breaks.

Or should OP have used reddit spacing for this to have been 17 paragraphs?

Batman / Shadow: The Murder Geniuses

It's too shit to bother finding a pic.

>Hey we're in reboot 746942 of the DC Universe, so Batman and The Shadow have never met before

>The Shadow is immortal because the warrior monks who trained him are now Tibetan Wakanda

>Only some other guy is "really" Lamont Cranston, so he kills himself or some bullshit

>The Shadow's elderly agents get a visit from Batman, who is trying to work out what's going on

>The shadow turns out to have been training Batman to replace him his whole life, because that makes any kind of sense.

>Oh and the Joker wants to find the warrior monks because something. If he snashes a thing they'll be sealed off and The Shadow will be "stuck" immortal

>Batman smashes it instead because reasons. He, Joker, The Shadow and the comics's actual stupid villain get ejected from warrior monk magic land because reasons

>The Shadow and Batman go their seperate crime-busting ways. Luckily it's a big two comic so none of this will have happened by next tuesday.

I will make it clear so even people that didn't pass kindergarten can understand:

Here's me writing a wall of text. You can see how annoying it is and how tired it makes your eyes feel, you will be terribly tired after reading this example of a wall of text that doesn't have any grammar function which is not organized in any way so you can undestrand why mostly niggers and uncultured swine will use this way of posting

Here's me writing a text suddivide under lines

It's a bit more easy to read.

But the concept is made for rhymes like in a poem

But it's terrible to read a book if you separate by lines

Here's me writing a text but now it's suddivide under different paragraph which makes it clear how it works.

Becasue paragraphs are just text written under multiple line and broken when a differen concept is introduced.

Which is the proper grammatical way to write a wall of text

>And for the fun of anons

Here's me writing all my things under paragraphs but instead

I will use the boogieman of the week

And separate the lines using the fatidical

Redddit spacing to separate them, which makes you read shit terribly on chans

But as if they were properly written for Reddit becasue the double space gets consumed by the http

Parallax

 No.975710

>>975706

One of my conditions for considering a thing a terrible retcon is if it wouldn't work even if it was written that way from the start. Parallax can and has been used reasonably well in new continuities where it's there from the start, though some of the exact details are lost. Compare that to shit like

>the dying Aunt May was just an actor and nobody cares Aunt May is suddenly alive again

>aunt may had Peter as a teenager mom despite how basic age differences make that totally impossible

>Peter's powers don't come from genetic weirdness, it's just some spider god and the other animal themed bad guys are empowered by rival gods

don't make working stories even if you included that detail from the start.

>there's an eldritch horror that's the elemental embodiment of fear and ancient enemy to a group that is powered by courage will, the horror escapes from its prison and possesses one of the group

can and has been made into a working story.

Not him but he's not really wrong. White Knight jumps around from having Joker be a completely harmless criminal that's been unjustly persecuted by Batman and the GCPD to an (allegedly) violent maniac who is implied to have killed Jason Todd. Ultimately the entire comic is absoultely full of weird conflicts like this where the writing is in conflict with itself (the whole two Harley Quinns thing, the GCPD just sitting back and letting Batman brutalise people for no reason E.T.C.)

The problem is that it's trying to deconstruct Batman but only showing half of the story- their version of Batman is a violent maniac who shows no regard for civillian lives in trying to aprehend the Joker but at the same time the Joker is apparently just a harmless Batman fanboy. So no shit Batman is a problem, but you're not really deconstructing anything given that you're basically writing him as a violent moron who tries to solve every issue with his fists and act like the Joker can do no wrong whenever it suits you.

It's a bit weird with it's writing and it doesn't do a great job selling the idea that Batman is actually really bad for Gotham, but it does it well enough that I'm willing to buy into that idea for the sake of seeing what the comic wants to do. For a comic I picked up simply to laugh and rage at, it's doing much better than I ever expected.
