Ok, I had to visit the "People of Motorcity" blog and get pages from the Motorcity series bible to figure out what type of society DetroitDeluxe was.
Now assuming your definition of a socialist society is " a society characterized by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production", I can say that DetroitDeluxe isn't at all a socialist society. From the bible, DetroitDeluxe looks more like a totalitarian company town, where KaneCo owns the city, the technology in the city, everyone in DetroitDeluxe is an employee of KaneCo, and KaneCo pays them in company scrip (KaneKoins) for use in company stores. KaneCo also directly controls the citizens of DetroitDeluxe, both their movement and their employment, so it's almost neofeudalistic in nature.
Whatever it is, it certainly doesn't involve "social ownership" and "democratic control".
