Pretending it ended at the end of season 3 just before Flame Princess showed up is better. Season 3 was the best season and in this case it would end with Dad's Dungeon, the literal best episode of the show.

Though I am a fag who still likes the show after all these years, I think ending it at S2 is too neat. I think it was solid all the way until season 5 where things got really rocky and they lost track of the tone the show had.

Having Finn break up with Flame Princess was the beginning of the end. The episode where the Bee chick gave him his arm back was where the show kinda died for me. I watched up until the Orgalorg episode then was out.

I will finish it eventually, but the show really lost it for me. The weird depressing tone just sucked out any enjoyment and they were trying to be Evangelion but with no clue about the themes they were trying to tangle with.

Actually, the episode before it when Marcelines and PBGs relationship literally became more important than anything else.

That's when I felt the beginning of the end.
