What was the point of this character? I remember a big deal was made back when she joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, then they made her a sister to Thor for no reason and she gained infamy with the UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON ISRAEL and then she suddenly dropped off the map. I can't remember the last time they did anything notworthy with her since Queen of Hel got sacked.

Basically. But my favorite thing about it is that under current year Marvel, they went in a stripped her of anything that made her a nice fuck you to McFarlane. They changed her look, her past, and I think her powers too. She might as well just have been a new character.

The point probably had something to do with Marvel sucking Neil Gaiman's dick at the time so he and Buckingham could finish their Miracleman run. Which still isn't finished. Perhaps editorial's priorities shifted when it became clear that she couldn't sustain her own books.
