That's by Steve Rude, so it's legit. He's one of the biggest Kirby fans on the planet, and one of the go-to guys if you want to do a Kirby riff, along with Keith Giffen. He did a brilliant Mr. Miracle one-shot that probably should be storytimed here. He's mostly famous for Nexus, which bears more of an elegant Alex-Toth/Magnus Robot Fighter influence.
