Ok to sum it up so far somethings post-crisis events are canon, Basically Morrison's Batman Run and John's Green Lantern to a lesser extent, rebirth is just a re-branding and new direction for the Nu52 stories which are still canon, Rebirth happened on Prime Earth there was no crisis event.

During No Justice Batman did something Damian didn't like, he got asshurt over it and is keeping multiple criminals prisoner at the Teen Titans base while Jason and Deathstroke both manipulate him. Now that Jason kicked Damien's teeth in Damien is asshurt at Deathstroke now and in a few issue's the team is going to be at war with one another because Deathstroke manipulates them into it because Crush (Lobo's daughter) is in a love triangle with a Genie and Damien.

None of this is as interesting as I make it seem.

Really like this issue again, the art is fantastic, thought the underwater part was too long though. Im sure Strange is a red Herring sadly.

I really like the idea of Jason Blood teaching Batman about the occult and paranormal, really makes me wish there were some modern stories that had Batman face the paranormal like from yesteryear, hopefully not with him trying to defeat them through "science" but by recounting old folklore and midwives tales.

The whole Dr.Stone helping Batman when "he first hits the streets" still really bugs me, the New 52 retcon of cyborg is lame.

Also is that a little Bruce in the bat suit?

Well I really don't like the whole it was VR the whole time twist, it is nice that it was to set up the return of Leslie instead of just taking a character that was criminally underused and then killing her off for shock value. Glad that they are teasing Alfred/Leslie again as well. Overall its a alright arc that I am lukewarm about but that's because Tomasi is a great writer who I expect more from. But this is definitely a step in the right direction.

I will say I really dig the variants up until the 60's, I feel that the 60's and 70's one are not Representative of their times.

Which is a downer since it is one of my favourite periods of Batman, especially the latter. On its own the 70's through 90's are really boring.

And as far as the normal cover goes it is leagues better than AC #1000 where Lee completely phoned it in, a complete disgrace.

The 1950's cover is the only good one of the bunch because the artist actually did research for it. All of those Bat-men are from the comics, and it's even arranged like a 1950's Batman cover. There's a lot of passion in that cover.

As for the rest, Steve Rude's looks like some art he had laying around and the others feel phoned in.

-Synder story was good and I like the idea of the club hopefully they are used and don't stay on the shelf forever

-Kevin Smiths story premise is not bad but the whole "sins" of the gun is weird and has no basis

-Dini's story was fun but I called it from a mile away

-Ellis' story highlights the worst of preptime and Batgod

-O'Neil's story actually pissed me off, I mean, kid walks up with a gun and tries to rob an geriatric old lady and when Batman backhands one he is a monster?, fuck off

-Priest continues to deep dive into continuity and canonize it again which is great but the real take away is "Beginning.." also great art by Adams

-Bendis' story felt really weak to me, I like the art in the splash page but aside from that it was mostly nothing.

-John's story was one of the more weird ones, I wanted to like Jones' artwork but the faces and some other stuff kept me from loving it.

-Tynion wrote a fun little love letter to Robin, I love it.

-Daniel's story really turned me around near the end, it was sweet and I dug it, wish he did more interior art.

-Tomasi's story was a nice teaser but who was asking for Arkham Knight? He was the worst part of the game and why 4 years after it came out. Manhke was killing it on the art though.

Over All much much better than AC #1000

What a waste of paper #1000 is. You cant even view the lazy double page splashes that are just pin-up posters with no storytelling purpose littered throughout.You end up with most of it in the gutter and looking like those mirrored video game covers /v/ usually does. They make it a bound book, but you cant fucking open it the whole wya to see the fucking art without breaking the spine. Brilliant design. A million fucking covers is whats wrong with the industry. But, hey, 10 shekels a pop. Imagine if the people buying 2 and 3 covers actually spent the money on quality comics. That's 3 or 4 other books that could be bought this week or month instead of buying covers you'll never do anything with except put in a box. They'll be worth the less than $10 20 years from now. That's how fucking stupid this industry is. It's death cant come soon enough. If they were fucking wasting all the pages on pinups and splashes anyways, they should have just put an art book out. Would be better than trash writing that came with it. Why the fuck is Bendis on this issue? He doesnt write batman and is a new fucking writer at DC. He has no history, yet actual decent writers and classic Bat writers get bumped so that hack can be on the book? What a joke.
