funny thing is that episode was the second time they'd mentioned Carbombya in the show. The first time slid right by

They'd change the plot so Mayor Quimby molests some woman, and Homer is the only person who sees. He then goes through a predictable crisis of morality where maybe he's offered money or donuts to stay quiet, and finally with a little encouragement from Lisa, punches Quimby and reveals him to the righteous press. Quimby gets away with it anyway, so you can make a flimsy statement about an unjust system, but mostly so the writers don't have to change the status quo.

We've been over this Read Hell and Back.

It's nothing special but it's decent and I'd argue a comic on par with most films if comics or manga or graphic novels or however you describe them ever become "art standard" I'd argue Hell and Back (written in 2003) would be a pin point example. Now it has race mixing and other mistakes but for what it's worth it's arguably the 2nd best Sin City comic after the first one with Marv.
