For discussing anything Tom and Jerry-related.
Anyway, I'm probably one of the few fucks here who actually likes these Tom and Jerry movies, aren't I? Regardless, I've noted that out of all the films, most of them have been received with indifference, mild amusements, or acknowledgements of their okay to mediocre existences, with the only "praised" one being the Johnny Quest film and that one about a racing tourney. However the last one, Tom and Jerry+Willy Wonka, despite being no different in terms of quality to any of the previous movies, was horribly hated by almost every review outlet, including the likes of The Mary Sue, Polygon and Jezebel. Its like many people as possible went out of their way to bash it more so than any of the other previous films. I assume that its because the movie was released shortly after Gene Wilder's death despite that the film had been in production before that, and they even changed Wonka's appearance out of respect for Wilder to not resemble him. So I have to wonder, is this the internet just being unnecessarily reactionary to a film because of Wilder's unexpectedly timed death? Had he not died, would have just ignored this film or found it mildly amusing like they did the ones before? Or was this film in particular actually the worst one among the lot?
