Why though? Action movies are a genre designed to appeal to male audiences. No amount of prodding and poking is going to make women flood into the cinemas to see action movies, just as men are never going to take up watching romantic comedies en masse. It's not a case that women have been rudely excluded from the action genre as a form of oppression. The companies just understand, or used to understand what sells and what people actually want. You know what action franchises women like? The ones that downplay the action, and turn to character drama or comedy, but at that point you're only really watching the illusion of an action movie.

Fuck man i used to binge the shit out of Sinfest back when the late 2000's was rolling in. For me that was like the silver age of webcomics since alot of interesting stuff croppes up during those years. I still remember when Tats would draw a good pair of asses for everyone to see, and Monique and Slick's relationship was endearing in a funny sort of a way unlike the one sided bullshit it is now. Hell their relationship got throughly aborted ever since Monique started to reject men for ever laying their filthy eyes upon her.
Gone are the raunchy comedy (though tbh, that shit got dropped at early 2007 iirc in favor for a softer slice-of-life comedy), fanservice, and funny shitheads that is just a blast to see them interact with each-other. I mean hell, the big G himself used to appear as a wacky puppet that is omnipotent and chill at the same time (to be fair, 80% of the character are like that) and he has his moments too
Fuck romance too i guess, it's all about to da WHAMMAN for these shitheads, For years fans have shared their plight but alas they fell on deaf ears.

I guess you are right, maybe it's just nostalgia talking since i was also an avid reader of alot of webcomics in the past that in retrospect, isn't really good at all. Then again Sinfest was never really about story arcs at all (especially early on) since it's fashioned as a newspaper comic and that is why there is alot of one-shot settings or premises that have never been elaborated upon just for a quick gag. Going full nude will also just ruin it since it's like an ecchi series going full ero, so Tats decided to play it safe.

I think the difference from what he was back then is that he'll prefer to sit back and not take it seriously, playing it out for a weak gag that doesn't really pay off. Hell, later on Slick gets caught by a Matriarchy police and it's still treated like a corny joke instead of it being treated as a tangible problem. Oh and let's not even fucking start with the political soapboxing , i hate that shit since Tats fell for the 'Obama is black jesus' meme.
I think there's alot more where sinfest just really irks me but you get the idea. Pre-garbage Sinfest is just … that, a milqetoast comic akin to the ones you find on the newspaper column (or on instagram as it is now). It doesn't really give you the good stuff righy away, but it has it's moments where it shows its charm. Too bad that the whole thing is just dragged down by the cheap punchlines Tats have to come up with everyday.
