I can hardly even count YJ since SB has had fuck all to do since S1. Just finished watching it. My thanks to whoever put it in the vola. It was a pleasant surprise. The movie had problems but if you compare it to Death of Superman it was much, much better.
I thought they'd end up doing a Reign of the Supermen movie with a bad end and then a Return of Superman movie to wrap this up as a nice trilogy but they rushed to the return of Superman pretty quickly. That's the thing that stands out the most. The movie IS rushing through the plot.
I liked how they limited Batman's actions in this one. I think Hal has more screen time. Speaking of which, he was a bit funny in a good way.
Now to the cons.

The Speed Force apparently negates the nasty side effects of traveling at extremely high speeds such as friction and burning up but it doesn't do anything beyond that. It won't, for example, protect him from the impact of getting hit by a raging murder machine that punched Superman to death. Not to mention, in order for the effect to kick in, Flash needs to be actually be moving fast. If he's moving normally or standing still, it's not active. And seeing as Flash has gotten hit several times in various media while NOT moving fast, from enemies that should be able to turn him into paste with one punch and still survived, now that I think about it, the guy has higher levels of PIS than Batman.
