CN Latin America just released this new trailer. Not sure if this means its getting a full series yet or just more shorts. Looking good so far, wouldn't mind if that music they're using became the show's theme song.

As a Spic I have to say we got fed a lot of anime in our childhood in which the villain was always pretty damn cool, or at least for our young minds. Like Frieza or the Saint Seiya villains, we ended up craving villains that are just pure, unadulterated evil because that's the kind of character we grew up with.

It's not just spics. EVERYBODY likes the villains better than the heroes. It's been that way since Shakespeare.
Probably has something to do with the fact that most of the time, villains drive the plot entirely by themselves, with the heroes only reacting to what they do.

I wonder if any of these shows will eventually make it to the US? Villainous is definitely the most likely since there is confirmation of an English voice cast and some clips in English.

Because, in Mexico at least, a decent amount of the locals descend at least partially from cannibalistic barely-civilized tribals. Whether from a psychotic culture that never really got replaced by Catholicism or an inherent bloodlust that's ingrained in their very ancestry, spics pretty much all root for the meanest, cruelest motherfucker around.

From what I've heard, Villanos was originally meant to air in the US, but the excecutives canned that and chucked it on CN LatAm.
Still, if you're going to watch any LatAm show I'd suggest subs, LatAm VAs are pretty great most of the time. Or just learn bean

Human beings don't see things in terms of good and evil by default. It took thousands of years for humans to start dictating their actions based on right and wrong, and even the societies that have done the best job at it (the more civilized ones) still have problems sticking with it.

The shorts are good but i don't think it'll do the series enough justice. They're very well animated with fluid movement, zany inbetweens and on-point lip sync. The jokes are pretty good for a short but i'll admit it's a definite hit or miss for me, but the 'creepy' vibe definitely helps with the delivery. Imo reminds me alot of Evil con Carne and Wander over Yonder for some reason.
-8/10 it definitely has potential

Also in pre-hispanic America there were no horses and the Mexica empire had to deal with communication trough miles upon miles of thick forest and jungle, for all intents and purposes the fact that they managed to make an empire with a commerce network, translators to other local languages and roads to bring the people they kidnapped is incredible, the amazonian forest has and even thicker jungle and natives can still be found in stone age stages.

I just rewatched the statue scene and a character from Summer Camp Island is there (see the 22 second mark of the embedded video) and that show is still going. So it's most likely the latter. Either that or it's a bad outlook for Summer Camp Island.
