American kaiju was a great idea but was not well executed in the slightest. His backstory is solely that he's the marine from the chainletter where an marine punches an atheist professor in the face, characters bald-facedly spoonfeed to the audience that he's an allegory for how America is a monster and he gets depowered by being exposed to Gamma rays for no good reason since Gamma rays were part of what turned him into that. Then Ewing abandons him for a year then brings him back in a story that barely makes any sense. He could be salvaged pretty easily mind you, all that needs to happen is for him to be given to someone who actually enjoys the character for his own sake, but in current Marvel that ain't happening.

I'm actually more relieved than anything else though. At this point anything worth a damn made by the company is done entirely on accident, and if it is made and completely forgotten about then the less it can be ruined before the freaks leave to help brigade for the next target.

I swear, these people don't get normal emotions. They're the kind of people that honestly thing Ghostbusters (84) was a comedy. Despite being a going into business story shot more as a horror film that just had great levity. They see Bill Murray in the title and think 'oh this must be humor!'

Come to think of it, that makes a startling amount of sense. Considering that most of these idiots seem incapable of being serious for even a moment in the comics they write yet will treat someone using the wrong gender pronoun on twitter like someone surviving the holocaust. Do comic writers these days simply not understand that people like comics and want them treated with respect? That fans of GI Joe, Transformers, X-men or any other title aren't just fans 'ironically' because of how inherently silly the setups are?

They do. The problem is that they have redefined what respect means in their bubble. To most fans, respect would mean not violating the established tones or traditions, consistent characterization and canon, and keeping the quality inline with the rest of the series among other aspects.

To the SJW, respect means lowering the bar and fucking up shit for normal people. They think respect means pushing for diversity, and I'm not just talking about adding a nig or fag to the cast of a book, but a push for people like Leth or Gabby Rivera to be given a voice in comics regardless of their actual writing abilities. Why care about continuity? They think that just makes a book less accessible to new readers, while giving them a convenient excuse to not have to do homework. They think the reason girls don't read GI Joe or something is because the older books didn't respect girls, but their's will and they don't care if they have to disrespect the old to make way for the new. All for the greater good.
