They had a cool opportunity here, and they blew it. They should have turned it into a talent search contest. People buy them, draw their comic, and then send it back to DC. The top 10 then win a trip to DC HQ where they get a chance to show their portfolio and try for a job.

On 24 hour comic day you are supposed to draw 24 pages. They're charging $3 for 16.

This will be showing up in "20 crazy facts about American comics) Youtube vids in 20 years time. "Once they charged $3.00 for blank comics and retards still bought it. It's hardly surprising that incident at SDCC '20 where Bendis shit in his hand and threw it at the audience happened."

Let's break down this scam.

The paper DC is using is 8 sheets 80lb cardstock, cut to 10 1/8in x 13 1/4. The closest standard size is around 11 x 14. I can get a pad of 20 sheets of artist quality 100lb 11x14 smooth Bristol paper for $5.29, or $0.26 a sheet. DC is charging $3.00 for 8 sheets, or $0.37 a sheet, of lesser quality paper.

So yeah, DC's even overcharging on their paper.
