Are there any Biblical characters that were not intimidated by the presence of an angel? Could it be their looks that cause such fear, or simply the awe of their close connection to God?

Since demons are fallen angels, do the two share the same capabilities and power?

Whenever you see an angel in the bible the prudent course is to run in another direction. They usually come to bring punishment and calamities.

Both, probably. Regarding their appearance, whenever they are not in human form they are described as having voices "like a multitude", and eyes like fire or lightning.
