I didn't agree with the priest when he said the government should enact policy in order to prevent school shootings. When someone has taken such a wicked choice as wanton murder, there's not much anyone can do. Only God can act in such cases.

Other than that it was fine.

1st Sunday of Great Lent: The Triumph of Orthodoxy. Goes over how the day is a celebration of how the Iconoclasm Heresy was put to rest by the Seventh Ecumenical Council of Nicea in 787, and the subsequent Synod of Constantinople. Also had the message of The Triumph of Orthodoxy in our souls as being the ultimate goal of Great Lent, and how all great heresies throughout history simply boil down to answering Jesus's question to the apostles incorrectly:

Not too bad.

Pastor talked about how Jesus finished the work of the Lord by sacrificing Himself on the cross. And how all of America’s woes are caused by sin. It was nice to be in the Church today.
