I have been an atheist all my life, it's how my parents raised me, however, i am beginning to believe in God, and would like to be baptized and become an Orthodox Christian, however, I still do not know much about Christianity or how to go about being baptized, thanks in advance for any advice

Look up Orthodox churches in your area. Send a priest an email and ask about the church, ask about the service, say you want to visit. Maybe send a few emails back and forth, then attend a liturgy on Sunday. Afterwards, talk to the priest in person if he's available. A lot of people make the mistake of going too quick, if the priest just gets an email out of nowhere saying "I wanna be baptized. When is the service?" His reaction will be "Who are you?". Let the guy see your face and let him get to know you before you start firing off for a baptism.

Orthodoxy is undoubtedly aesthetic as hell but it is not the way unto salvation. Accept jesus christ as your lord and savior to be saved. Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through works and not through any church
