In my autistic worldview the "head" of the catholic church centralizes and distributes all the donations of the believers. Since I found this is not how the people think, I donated to my nearest tradcat abbey.

I suppose you could send money directly to the Pope, but it's the Vatican treasury department that handles such things. It's best to donate directly to a church or monastery or Catholic charity.
