Tribe is not synonymous with race. For example, all caucasoid races may be traced back to Japeth ("Jupiter" to the Romans), but all caucasoids are certainly not one tribe.
Another example: the descendants of Magog, Jalheths second son.
The name "Mongol" appears to be directly derived from the name Magog. In India Mongol possibly became Moghul and a large part of China was known as Mangi when Europeans first visited it. The Arabs called the Scythian tribes of Tartary Ya'jūj and Ma'jūj (Arabic: ), taken to mean "Gog and Magog" and the Great Wall of China as "the wall of Magog" (Arabic: , Haa'it al-Ma'jūj). In the 13th century AD, Marco Polo knew that the Mongols were descendants of Magog. He further understood the names of "Ung and Mungu" in China to be "Gog and Magog."
So we have descendants of Japheth across multiple races, with their lineage being traceable to what was once one tribe. TL;DR race =/= tribe.
