Same goes for St. Paul mentioning an epistle (now missing) he wrote to Laodicea… or basically just telling churches to hold fast to the traditions that were taught them – what "traditions"? Not everything is communicated through writing. That's barely how people even relay information today. Or even learn things. Most education or job training is still hands on. And they'd get fired from those jobs all the same if they acted like a jackass and said they didn't have to do something, because it was never originally written down.
