I am a Christian so I believe that we will be resurrected at the end, but death still frightens me. Does this mean i’m not a true believer? How can I cope day by day with this soul crushing knowledge of my (possible) mortality? How can I know for sure I have a soul?

You should fear death; or rather the dread judgement seat of Christ which you will stand before after your death. I ask God every night in my prayers to grant me remembrance of my death. Remember your death, and fear His judgement, that it may lead you to repentance.

"Memento Mori" isn't just a meme, it's an old medievalist phrase. Those who remember their death, remember that they will be come before Jesus Christ to be judged. Stay away from sin, so that death will become more rather, your golden pass to Heaven, as St. Alphonse had said.
