Hey /christian/,

I'm in a Catholic university, and there's an LGBT group that has over the years been taking traction, however, not as much as in a secular university. I'm a Latter-day Saint (inb4, ban) but in ecumenical efforts, I'd like your help to know how these groups can be dismantled. If there's opposition against the LGBT group, they'll only grow stronger as "homophobia/transphobia" will be seen with outrage and the organization will grow stronger.

However, I don't believe an LGBT organization belongs in a Catholic university.

What can be done about this?

"catholic" universities aren't actually part of the Church for the most part. many of them used to be, but power was handed over to secular boards of directors, so good luck.

It's kind of a shame since it was founded by the Daughters of the Immaculate Mary of Guadalupe, the nuns of the Sacred Heart, the Marist Brothers and the La Salle members, supported by an association of Catholic citizens.

I mean, even in BYU, the Mormon university in Utah, there's an LGBT group, but this is Mexico and I want to stop Western postmodern ideology from spreading.

it's impossible, academia is only concerned with political expediency due to state funding. best advice is: stop up your ears and get your degree as soon as possible

It's a bit different here in Mexico but I think that might end up being the best strategy in the end…maybe it's just a sign of the Second Coming. Prophecies are being fulfilled, if I remember correctly, chimeric beings (the transsexual, right now in their beginning stages) were mentioned in Revelation

You have to keep in mind that they're not going to be the only opposition that you'll fight against. Those groups are backed by other national foreign groups with contacts who will do everything they can to harm you.

The growth is never organic, it's forced. They either force it through favors, intimidation, or lies.

You can't combat it effectively in your stage. You must build up a list of contacts and gain power to reduce their influence.

I work at a catholic university, and we had a transgender day with a clothing swap. Some of the sisters support abortion.
