The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

There are artifacts which states "Pater Noster" (Our Father) along Alpha and Omega symbols around the words. People suspect this is a reference to the beginning of the Lord's prayer. If so, that might place Christians groups in Pompeii around 40-60AD. That is, of course, too close to the original events of Christ for several secular (godless) professors to approve of, but what do you think?

Is is this really evidence of a early Christian symbol?

Makes perfect sense tbh.

They had to conceal their faith using symbols like the fish and similar.

Nothing else makes sense.
