If you really wanna know, Seventh Day Adventists are one of the many churches that emerged in the Second Great Awakening (The other big ones are the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons). They didn't come to their conclusions based on studying the Bible and Church history. They came to their conclusions via people who experienced weird visions and claimed to be prophets. However, they (along with all 2GA churches) are now experiencing a decline in membership as information can spread much faster to many more people
