I'm not exactly ancient but I would hazard to guess I'm a good 10-15 years older than most anons posting here. About two decades ago pretty much everyone I knew who was between 30-50 was appalled at the some of the stuff we that younger people now take for granted.
However, since then people younger than that range in general have been strongly conditioned to accept the fact that non-procreative sex is a superior state than the former rubic. Furthermore, this conditioning includes the implicit line that children - as long as you aren't biologically related to them because of the "tree forking" situation still being an objective problem - are fine for means of physical pleasure. You'll note an increasing amount of pedo apologists the last few years in normal mass media, which previously were only seen on the more vocal ends of the homosexual community.
I think something will occur to partially reverse this trend, however, but all and all the current trend would otherwise put us in a situation where in about 20-30 years the age of consent is seriously neutered in some locations. I think there may yet be areas where that will happen, and you'll have a split between those areas with no allotment for any theoretical deception of minors indecently, to an "anything goes as long as it doesn't result in a messy homicide" attitude. It's going to be a real mess.
