That's a hard one. Much of the info we have about him is way too obscure. Some says he was a true Orthoodx man, others say he was apart of the Khlyst sect. There is a wing of ultra traditional Russian Orthodox, followers of Metropolitan John of St. Petersburg, who do venerate him as a Saint; but then there are other Orthodox Christians who consider him an evil heretic. Really it cannot be known. Only God knows.
