I found out one of the two Catholic Churches in my city belongs to this group. Check out their mass in the video. How does the Catholic church allow this? They completely look like charismatics. Some people say they are very cultish as well.

I pray for the restoration of the Church. It is inevitable anyway, as modernism and things like this has been in full swing for a long time, eventually the pendulum will go back the other way. When it does, make sure that we nail it in place and never allow it to move again.

It's weird, I don't understand them at all.

One of my best friend is a neocatechumenal due to family but he's different from all the others, he's pretty popular and has none of the cringy things the rest of that group usually does.

OP, you say they are cultish. From what he told me they are cultish indeed (even though he isn't personally cultish). They mostly marry among their group, they their own mass every sunday without mixing with diocesans, they do easter and christmas on their own at different times than the normal mass, etc…

It's not a mass by far. There's no consacration of the bread and all the other things that are part of a Mass.

A western Catholic Mass must be performed according to the Paul VI Roman Missal ou according to the 1962 Missal. (or any other ancient rite like the mozarabic or the Braga rite).

That shit is just a reunion of "faithful". It's literally the middle stage between Catholicism and pentecostal shit. They will all become pentecostals in 5 years tops.

The Church tries to maintain a certain neutrality since no actual heresy is being committed (although it makes people closer to heresy) and by taking this position makes those people to stay in the Church for a few more months.
