I still don't fully understand what Paul meant here:
>Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him,(1 Corinthians 11:14)
Is it the length of the hair itself that matters or the way we style it?
Personally I'm Orthodox and I'm looking to dedicate myself to a celibate life and not cut my hair and beard.
I'm not looking to let my hair grow as a symbol of vanity. (perhaps one day I will become a monk, I've been thinking about it) I just want to do it as an outward symbol of faith and modesty.
Is this a dishonor to me? Would God dislike this about me or would He condone it?
